Munson House
Originally built in 1849 by architect William Griggs, this stately home belonged Amos Gridley, a merchant of poor repute in the town. In 1912, it was remodeled by industrialist James Woolson, a major benefactor of the nearby United Methodist Church. In 1928 or 1929, William J. Munson gave the property to the Town in memory of his wife, Marian. The park surrounding the home is dedicated to her memory.
Most recently, the building housed the Watertown Board of Education from xxx until 2020 when all Town offices were moved to the former Heminway Park School.
